Our Food Values

All LÄRABAR Original Fruit & Nut, LÄRABAR Protein and LÄRABAR Fruits + Greens bars are made with dairy-free ingredients – even our indulgent chocolate chip flavors! Though the vast majority of chocolate chips in the world are made with dairy, soy or both, we specifically asked our supplier to provide us with chocolate chips which are Vegan—containing no dairy.

Fair Trade USA’s mission is to cultivate a more equitable global trade model that benefits farmers, workers, consumers, industry and earth. When a product is Fair Trade Certified, it means that it was produced in an ethical manner; using environmentally sustainable farming methods are required, safe work conditions are ensured, and forced child and slave labor are prohibited.

In some cases, the product might cost a little more – but that premium is routed back to the community where, by a democratic system, the farmers decide how to invest the funds.

LÄRABAR has many gluten-free options across our foods. From our Original Fruit & Nut Bar to our Kid brownies, we are committed to making many delicious, gluten-free snack options that the whole family can enjoy.

In addition to using simple ingredients, we have manufacturing controls in place to assure there are no cross-contact concerns in our ingredient sourcing or recipe development. For our gluten-free offerings, we also periodically verify our practices using Gliadin gluten testing.

All of the LÄRABAR products are certified Kosher or Kosher Dairy by the Orthodox Union. Look for the "U" and “OU-D” within a circle on our certified Kosher and Kosher Dairy snack bars.

Consumers want to know what is in their food and we at LÄRABAR want you to know what’s in ours! That’s why we are committed to using only non-GMO ingredients in all LÄRABAR real-food snacks. All LÄRABAR bars are non-GMO Project verified, which means our product has completed a comprehensive third-party verification for compliance with the Non-GMO Project Standard.

We are committed to providing you and your family with foods made without GMO ingredients. We feel we are making a positive impact by increasing organic and non-GMO acreage as we grow. LÄRABAR continues to uphold the same beliefs we’ve had since our founding, including the value we place on using non-GMO ingredients.

None of our LÄRABAR recipes are made with soy or soy derivative. We also offer a variety of soy-free snack bar flavors.

All LÄRABAR products that are labeled “Soy Free” have undergone testing to assure there are no cross-contact concerns in our ingredient sourcing or recipe development.
